Film Locations works with Audi for major TV and film advert

Film Locations has done sterling work with various household names within the UK and wider European car industry, with the latest being an Audi seasonal production where the demands of the autumn and winter weather which many parts of Europe, including the UK, suffer from, lead discerning buyers to seek out their numerable model distinctions which offer their award-winning and industry-leading Quattro technology.

A key theme of the advert plays on the variety of weather experienced, implying that “when there are just four seasons in one day” a driver must be prepared – and the best way of preparing is through Audi’s four-wheel drive system. Our brief meant we needed to find locations which were likely to show the huge breadth of variety in the UK climate, whilst also focusing on a distinct contrast between the tight, compact needs of the urban city explorer, and the range-finding exploration required by those getting out into the countryside. From rolling hills and sleepy country vistas to towering modern skyscraper architecture, we went straight to our UK film locations database to work out possible shooting locations which would showcase the essence of what Audi wanted to present.
Ultimately, our work has allowed Audi to take their target audience on a whirlwind tour of the UK and all its faces. Even when presented with the challenge of compressing multiple locations spread across the country into the tight focus of a 30-second brief, we delivered impressively, and the result is there for all to see, with the contrasts and seasonal shifts fitting together seamlessly.
